
Race for Education - 5K Race or Walk
Nanuet and Beyond (with the support of the Nanuet Chamber) is hosting an official 5K race/walk on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Nanuet. The race is a fundraiser to support Nanuet and Beyond’s scholarship/grant program and other related activities.
Registration fees and donations from this race will support our efforts and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Date: Sunday, May 7, 2023
Time: Race/Walk starts at 8:30 AM.
Fee: $30 (up thru age 19 - $20)
Location: Start/Finish Nanuet High School Main Entrance
Sign in: Registrants may sign in beginning at 7 AM
The race will begin and end in front
of Nanuet High School. The race will start at 8:30 AM. Pre-registered
runners will be able to sign in starting at 7:00 AM. Each runner will be
provided a bib, timing chip, and official completion time. The race will be
categorized by gender and age group (See groups below).
The first 150 participants who complete the actual 5K race (not including the virtual or 1-mile walk) will receive a medal.
During registration, you will have the OPTION to purchase a Race t-shirt
(sample photo available during registration option). To ensure shirts will be
available on race day, shirts must be ordered by April 15.
The top male/female overall finishers in the 5K race
will be awarded a $50 Gift Certificate. The second place overall male/female
finisher will receive a $25 GC and the third place overall male/female finishers
will be awarded a $15 GC.
The Race will be held Rain or Shine!
Age groups for the Run/Walk will be:
- Up to 14 years
- 15-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70+
You may also choose to Register and
take part in the fun and support Nanuet and Beyond and simply walk the 5K
route. The first 150 finishers will receive a medal
The Virtual 5K would be at your own pace. The Virtual race may be done at your
pace, outside, on a treadmill, or around your neighborhood. etc.
The one-mile walk (a shorter course) is for anyone who would like to be part of
the fun on race day, support a great cause, and may not wish to compete in a 5K (3.1-mile
race/walk).
