The inaugural Outdoor Outlook event is set to take place on Friday, April 14, bringing together outdoor enthusiasts for an evening of education, fun, and camaraderie. The event is being held at the Fort Bluff in Dayton at 6:30 p.m., with an optional "Turkey Shoot" from 4-6 pm for the first 32 people who sign up!
The event features a free dinner of country ribs and chicken and all the fixin's starting at 6:30 pm, and an expert speaker panel starting at 7 pm! Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced panel members, as well as connect with like-minded individuals who share their passion for the great outdoors. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit their questions in advance and have their most pressing issues answered live by the panelists. (On the registration page, please put your questions in the box titled: "Message of Support" on the final "Cart" page.)
The Turkey Shoot will be from 4-6 pm on April 14 for the first 32 people who sign up. Range safety rules from Fort Bluff Camp apply. The Turkey Shoot will be a handgun competition using your own gun and ammo, with no lasers or red dots sights. Three (3) shots at 10 yards, each round, shooter with closest pattern and closest to bullseye moves on to next round. Winner of final round will win the turkey! $15/shooter prepaid. Judge's rulings are final for the competition. Judge may choose to allow an additional single shot or a longer distance if he determines there is a tie to move on to another round or for the final winner. All shooters must register.
A donation request will be made following the dinner event. All proceeds from the event will be used to support Rhea County residents who need it most—raised here, stays here.
