After 13 years at Mass Alliance, our Executive Director Jordan Berg Powers will be stepping down from his role on March 31st. We are deeply grateful to Jordan for his years of hard work for our coalition and the broader progressive movement in Massachusetts and beyond.

Jordan has been tireless and steadfast in his pursuit of a political ecosystem in Massachusetts that inspires and empowers non-traditional candidates to lead. A champion of a healthier democracy, Jordan's selfless devotion to ensuring equity in the Commonwealth's decision-making bodies extends outside the bounds of political progress to include an insatiable desire for true, meaningful, policy and structural change.

The progressive movement is stronger when we work together. Jordan believes that what divides us is smaller than what we can accomplish when we work as a community, and that is why he has been deeply committed to our diverse array of 29 organizations staying stronger together. That will remain a core principle for Mass Alliance in this work.

In his time as Executive Director, Mass Alliance's training events, endorsees, and coalition became more reflective of the diversity of Massachusetts. Jordan has been a key advisor for so many candidates who are often ignored by the traditional political infrastructure in Massachusetts. His work has been fruitful and trailblazing for the progressive movement in our state. Thanks to his leadership and the groundwork he laid out for a path forward, Mass Alliance is positioned to expand on his vision to fundamentally change how and who we elect as our leaders.

In the next few months the board will be sharing more about this great opportunity for the progressive movement. We are excited for what is next for Mass Alliance, but today we celebrate Jordan's accomplishments and thank him for his years of service and dedication to this organization and to Massachusetts.

Thank you, Jordan, for all you have done!
