This 3-day course combines classroom and range time with the ultimate goal of providing a basic understanding, and practical application of working from concealment in both the on-duty, and off-duty capacity. Case studies will be reviewed, latest holster technologies will be tested and evaluated, life fire drills will include drawing techniques from a variety of relative positions as well as clandestine drawing techniques, less lethal options, one handed clearing and deployment, multiple threats, secondary ammunition considerations, low light tactics, blue on blue shooting avoidance, close quarter firing techniques, and more. The third day will address policy considerations, range safety with unconventional carry, advanced drills under compressed timeframes, situational/environmentally driven tactics and engagement, off-duty tactics and procedures.
Example of Outcomes:
• Developing the off-duty tactical mindset
• Selection of clothing, gun, holster, and placement
• Less lethal options to include O.C., flashlights, etc.
• Garment removal techniques, one and two-handed
• Practice re-holstering into concealment
• Enhancing functional pistol to include CQB, movement while shooting and shooting from a seated position.
• Developing post engagement procedures and responsibilities to include identification and verbal skills.
• Exploring live fire drills as well as isolation drills leading to reality-based training
• Thumb drive with APSC Approved course material upon completion
Required Equipment: Off-duty and on-duty pistol(s), 500 rounds total of ammo 50% on duty, 50% off duty if calibers vary. Concealed carry duty gear (holster(s) inside and outside the waistband, additional magazines and pouches, flashlight, O.C, (if carried on-duty or off) handcuffs and key. Badge and form of carry, police I.D., Blue gun or similar inert training device, if available. Body armor as a range safety consideration not likely to be used on all drills Wrap around eye protection, ear protection, and brimmed hats will be worn during all live fire training. Cover garments should include Polo style or T-shirt, button-down shirt, jacket or coat, sweater, or hoodie. Day 3; Instructors bring laptop, any course of fire for off-duty/concealed carry or U.C. and policy to share if available.

She specializes in training female officers (to date she has trained over 5,200 women in pistol alone including the Kuwaiti Female Special Forces.) and is a certified firearms and defensive tactics instructor in a variety of disciplines. She instructs internationally in the areas of instructor development and training for specialty units.
