George Cotsirilos Quartet

A group of accomplished, veteran jazz musicians, the George Cotsirilos Quartet, featuring Keith Saunders on piano, Robb Fisher on bass, Ron Marabuto on drums, and George Cotsirilos on guitar has released two recent, widely acclaimed CD’s of primarily original music. Last year’s album, "Refuge," has been named a Downbeat Editor’s Pick, is listed in the magazine’s January 2023 issue among the best albums of 2022, and spent 9 weeks on the Jazzweek top 50 national radio charts. The group’s preceding 2018 release, “Mostly In Blue” received a 4 star Downbeat review, was listed among Downbeat’s best albums of 2018 and also spent weeks on the Jazzweek top 50 radio charts, rising to number 15. Group members have performed with the likes of Cal Tjader, Tommy Flanagan, Chet Baker, Art Pepper, Carmen McCrae, Eddie Marshall and Joe Lovano, among many others. At their West Oakland Sessions show, the quartet will perform original compositions, along with some nuggets from the jazz canon.
