CHI's 2023 #RideForHaiti

Get on your bikes and ride! Did you know that Iowa is about 200 miles wide, and Haiti is about 200 miles from north to south? Each day we will feature a city/town in Haiti along our virtual route as you ride across Iowa (or wherever you are!)

We invite you to “bike in place” with us to support our Haitian crew's efforts to combat cholera by providing Gadyen Dlo water treatment systems free of charge to our partner communities in Arcahaie.  These bucket systems consist of a simple bucket fitted with a spigot and lid, and cost CHI $15 per bucket, and a case of 48 bottles of treatment costs $48.  We will also be purchasing supplies for our team in Haiti to make Rehydration solution for use in our CHW’s home visits and to teach community members how to make their own at home.

 Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help FIGHT CHOLERA IN HAITI WITH WATER TREATMENT.

This year we also have a Peloton challenge for CHI’s annual Ride for Haiti event. This year you can pledge per minute of any Peloton activity or per mile of activity on your Peloton in the cool comfort of your air conditioned space. We will set up some live ride options and you can ride on your own. You can ride the whole month of June under the Leader Board hashtag #CHIRideForHaiti.

*Live ride times will be sent separately once we know who is signing up for the Peloton challenge. Note in your registration that you will be riding Peloton and we will connect you with the organizer.
