Monte Vista Projects 2023 Curated Open Call

We are excited to announce the 3rd Monte Vista Projects Curated Open Call! Los Angeles area artists are encouraged to submit two works to be considered for this salon-style exhibition. Submissions will be curated by the current membership of Monte Vista Projects. The artwork submission deadline is Sunday, February 5. The works selected will be in a group exhibition at the Monte Vista Projects gallery opening March 24, 2023

All works will be available for sale. Proceeds to the artist.

Submission Guidelines:

• Age: Artists must be over the age of 18.
• Residency: Artists must live in the greater Los Angeles Area (LA, Ventura, Orange, and Riverside Counties).
• Accepted Mediums: All works must be able to be mounted on the wall or stand freely on a surface. Video and sound works will not be considered..
• Size: Maximum dimension 30” in any direction.
• Date of Work: Work should be completed within the last two years.
• Entry Fee: Artists can submit up to two works for consideration for a fee of $20*
  *If you are having financial difficulties and cannot afford the entry fee, please reach out to us via email at [email protected] with the subject line “Fee Waiver”
• File Submission and Labeling: Only JPEG Files will be accepted. For each work you submit you must title your files as follows:
  Artist Last Name_Artist First Name_Title_.jpg
  (File name example: Smith_Jane_Untitled-water-drawing.jpg)
  **Please note that incorrectly titled images may not be considered**
• Sales: Work should be available for sale, all sales of accepted work will be facilitated by Monte Vista
• Artwork Delivery: Artwork must be complete and ready to install for drop-off. If selected, artists must be able to drop off and pick up work on the designated dates. No shipping will be allowed.

Deadlines:

Submission deadline: February 5, 2023, at 11:59 pm PST

Artists Notification:  No later than March 4, 2023

Opening reception: March 24, 2023
