TPP’s Center for Wellness and Restoration combines clinical practice and restorative ideology to holistically and comprehensively address individual and communal wellness. This innovative and multi-faceted approach to mental health, coined by TPP as “Restorative Clinical Practice”, acknowledges that both evidence-based practice and lived experience are of equal importance in understanding cycles of harm and creating meaningful interventions. Restorative Clinical Practice is collaborative, community-centered, survivor-informed, and non-pathologizing. The Center for Wellness and Restoration works with participants who are actively involved in TPP programming and offers a range of services including individual therapy, case management, mental health groups, clinical evaluations, legal advocacy, and reentry support.

To challenge the status quo and dismantle the power dynamic in traditional clinician-client relationships by embracing a collaborative and collective approach to treatment that centers community and fosters connectivity. To ensure that both those impacted by harm and those responsible for harm have the resources and support needed to sustainably engage in individual and communal healing. ?

Vision

To create healthier and safer communities by addressing the systemic barriers and treatment needs of those within the community. To grow the network of Restorative Clinical Providers to ensure access to culturally aware treatment for all currently and previously incarcerated populations.

Restorative Wellness Guides

TPP’s Restorative Wellness Guides are licensed social workers who bring a specific passion and expertise to TPP from a combination of clinical training, extensive work with incarcerated populations, and lived experience. TPP’s Wellness Guides work collectively to evaluate client needs and provide trauma-informed, strengths-based, and individualized treatment.
