2022 End of the Year Blessings
Year End Support For Kunsi Keya Tamakoce (MATCHING FUNDS!!)
Dear Beloved Kunsi Keya Community,
As the season has changed to winter and there is snow on the ground in some places, we wanted to reach out to send warm greetings and connect with you as we close the circle on this calendar year. We have been praying for you and hope that you and your families are safe, well, and taken care of. This is a season when many make time to reflect on the past year and the blessings and challenges it presented. Continuing in the spirit of gratitude Kunsi Keya is deeply appreciative of the connections and gifts of our community.
This year brought in the expansion of our local community relationships by growing food and sharing the harvest with local community members. Our partnership with the Six Crops Organization provided the space for vibrant local community gatherings at the pavilion that culminated with a harvest of local apples and a weekend cider-making event.
Our relationship with the organization Just Construction resulted in a beautifully constructed bunkhouse cabin that will provide space for at least 6 individuals during our ceremony. The cabin was put to good use during our ceremony this past July.
The 2022 Sundance Ceremony happened in person with a strong group that provided focus and support for the dancers. In preparation for our ceremony, the drum area was dismantled. We were then able to construct a more spacious drum area allowing greater ease of movement. The decision was then made to rebuild the section from the drum area to the East Gate which was graciously led by Wren and Maggie.
Another installment has been made on our land mortgage and we are proud to say our balance is approximately $37,000! We are holding the vision that we will finish paying off the land within this next year. With your help and generous support, we will reach our goal and the land will be held by Kunsi Keya Tamakoce. You will be hearing more about this throughout the coming months. We are very blessed to have a 3-to-1 match for the first $5,000 of funds raised. To make a donation please click here. If you would prefer checks can be sent to Kunsi Keya Tamakoce 647 Salvas Rd Huntington, VT 05462.
Many blessings to you and yours in the new year and we look forward to seeing you as time and spirit allow.
With All Our Love and Sincere Gratitude,
The Kunsi Keya Board
