Becoming Kings and Queens Inc seeks to celebrate the end of our 12-week Leadership Life Skills program at Lewis Middle School by providing all participating students a field trip to Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve along with a BKQ graduation ceremony.

Lewis Middle School students have participated in a 12-week program learning from various community leaders and mentors about 10 key areas that will enhance their leadership and life skills for the future.

These topics included:

  • Self Esteem and Confidence.
  • Self-Empowerment.
  • Goal-Setting/ Prioritization.
  • Feelings and Emotions/ Empathy.
  • Self-Respect.
  • Negotiation and Refusal.
  • Gratefulness and Appreciation.
  • Bullying and Gossiping.
  • Relationships.
  • Social Media and its Impact.

Through these discussions and sharing of experiences, we teach our students that they are kings and queens and not slaves to the labels that society may place on them early on. We are very excited to be able to help our students “change their narrative” and need your help to celebrate our students with the achievement and acknowledgement that they deserve.
