Hello Friends and Family,
I am excited to announce that I will be returning to Nigeria in October for my third pediatric medical mission trip. I will be joining the VOOM Foundation team in Nigeria. The VOOM Foundation aims to treat those in underserved communities through actions such as performing open heart surgeries all the way to educating local medical staff.
How does a country of over 211M not have a sustainable open-heart surgery program? What does that mean for those who need heart surgery? With almost 50% of the country in poverty and unable to travel outside the country for surgery, it means they will not receive the care they need to live
VOOM Foundation is an international humanitarian organization with a mission to provide impartial sustainable healthcare programs dedicated to quality, with a particular interest in supporting the underprivileged and underserved.
