Women's Equality Day 2023

We are pleased to share that the 2023 Women's Equality Day Luncheon is SOLD OUT!

Thank you to all of our supporters. If you have any questions or are interested in participating next year please contact Emily Deering-Caruso, Interim Director of Development at [email protected] or 269-345-5595 ext. 304.

This year marks 103 years since the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which gives citizens the right to vote regardless of their gender. This, however, did not address the barriers to voting access faced by black women and other women of color, the effects of which are still prevalent more than a century later. Join us for a luncheon featuring an intergenerational panel discussion on women's voting rights through the lens of Black, Indigenous women and women of color and how we move forward in the fight against systemic racial and gender inequities in civic engagement. Social justice activist Chelsea Miller will lead the conversation and will be accompanied by three additional panelists representing different age groups.

When: Tuesday August 22, 2023,
             12:00pm-2:00pm
Where: Advia Credit Union Headquarters
             6400 W Main St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009
