- The Hotel to Home Rapid Rehousing Initiative will offer variety of wrap-around services to help address economic harms to up to 25 families who identify as unhoused or homeless in Clayton County, GA. Homeless wraparound services refer to a comprehensive approach to providing support and services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
- The Hotel to Home Rapid Rehousing Initiative wraparound services will be provided by a team of professionals who work together to develop a customized plan for each individual. This team may include case managers, social workers, mental health professionals, employment specialists, and housing specialists.
The goal of wraparound services is to address the multiple needs of homeless individuals, including housing, employment, healthcare, education, and mental health services.
Rapid re-housing has gained momentum nationally and within Georgia, but organizations are not widely implementing the strategy outside metro Atlanta, GA. Research shows that rapid re-housing can offer individuals and families immediate access to permanent housing, which is more cost-effective than other strategies and can improve outcomes for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
The wraparound model is designed to provide a holistic approach to addressing the complex needs of homeless individuals. This approach recognizes that homelessness is often the result of a combination of factors, including poverty, mental illness, substance abuse, and lack of social support.
