July Letter!!

Dear Friend,
This is NOT our
typical monthly letter, on behalf of the Board of Directors we are “hi-jacking”
Bro. Jon’s July letter! This is a special month for us here at The Union
Gospel Mission, this month marks twenty years Jon Rector has been “Meeting
Needs, Making Change, and Magnifying Christ!” as the Executive Director of The
Union Gospel Mission!
So much has changed in the world in the past twenty years. So much has changed
even with The Union Gospel Mission, particularly with our locations. However,
the one thing that has remained the same is Jon’s passion to serve those who
are hurting, who are lost, who are homeless, and who struggle with addictions.
Being the hands, feet, and heart of Christ, Jon has rescued so many hurting
people and completely changed the trajectory of their lives not just physically
but spiritually! The Kingdom of God is growing because of the work of Jon
Rector and The Union Gospel Mission!
As I mentioned above, this is a special month celebrating
Jon’s Anniversary. And so, you are invited to a “come and go” reception to
honor Jon and his work on July 27th, at 6:00 PM, at The Honey Seed restaurant
on Market Street. I would love to present the mission with a large gift that
evening in Jon’s honor. Would you join
me by donating a little extra this month with an anniversary gift to the
mission in Jon’s honor? What better way to celebrate his twenty years of
service than with a gift that will help him continue “Meeting Needs, Making
Change, and Magnifying Christ!”
