
Botanical Berries with Colored Pencil

Improve
your drawing skills in this Botanical Berries colored pencil workshop. Sketch on location in the Alaska
Botanical Garden. Practice color mixing, layering and shading, while drawing
service berry, red currants, high bush cranberry or watermelon berry. A
limited number of material kits are available for purchase, or you can
bring your own supplies. This class takes place outside. Bring along a
camping chair to sit on, clothing layers for sun, cold or rain, hat and
thin gloves. There is a $5 cancellation fee for all cancellations. No
refunds given with less than 48 hours notice. If
you are bringing your own supplies, remember to bring along a clipboard to draw on, and a
tote or backpack to carry your supplies.
Betany Porter is a member of the ABG staff and is a local artist, curator, and interdisciplinary museum educator. She received her MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago in Painting and Drawing.

HB Graphite Pencil
Kneaded Eraser
Strathmore colored pencil paper pad, Cold Press, 6'' x 8'', 100lb.
Pencil Sharpener (w/ container for shavings)
