Let Union Be in All Our Hearts! - Chorus Workshop Led by Fred Goff

California Revels is excited to launch a brand new gathering of our chorus community:  The California Revels Cantico Ensemble!

Although California Revels will not be producing a Midwinter/Christmas Revels this year, we're keeping the flame alight by offering everyone the "Revels Chorus Experience" of singing together for friendship, celebration, and community. And, don't forget the Food Table!!

This Summer & Fall, former Music Director Fred Goff will lead us through a fascinating selection of seasonal songs, pub songs, and rounds, along with old favorites from the California Revels canon.  There will be unity, harmony, and polyphony galore!  Come and experience the magic of making glorious music together!

Revelers Old & New Welcome!

If you sang with the California Revels Chorus in the past, come sing with our Cantico Ensemble this year.  If you have never sung with us for a show, welcome to the "magic" that we create year after year, by singing and sharing food together.  You're in for a treat, and all are welcome!

No Audition, and the First Session is Free!

Regardless of your experience level, join us to make music together every other Thursday in a song-learning workshop that is both nourishing (potluck) and educational, with 1.5 hours of focused song and fun. 

Register for the Series!

Sign up for the whole series (5 sessions total, and the first is free) for the nominal fee of $40.  That's less than ten dollars per session for expert choral direction.  Or, sign up for single dates but... we recommend signing up for all 5, for an optimal experience.

We'll be covering songs of the Summer, Fall, Harvest, and Togetherness (Union), and more!  If the Cantico Ensemble is popular (and we sure hope it is!) then we'll extend it into the Yuletide and Christmas Season to practice for a holiday performance event.  At that point, we'll be looking at carols old and new of Winter and Christmas, beginning November 2nd and continuing through the holidays.

* Potluck from 6:30 - 7:30 PM.  Come early share your favorite dishes with your friends and fellow choristers.  You'll be amazed what we can all bring to the table!

* Singing from 7:30 - 9:15 PM.
