Dear PNAA chapters and supporters,

The Philippine Nurses Association of America , Community Outreach Committee is activating the “Project Damayan for Maui Disaster” to assist our “kababayans” affected by the catastrophic fire that killed nearly 100 people and damaged at least 2,200 structures. At least 1,500 residential homes were destroyed, and over 2,100 acres were burned down. In addition, 4,500 households on the island remained without power and drinking water sources, even if their homes were untouched by fire.

We are appealing to your chapter members and friends to request monetary donations to help our “kababayans”  for basic necessities such as food, water, gasoline, and other essentials. Our PNA Maui Hawaii Chapter members are working tirelessly to prepare, serve, and deliver food, medicines, clothing, and other necessary items to those who lost their homes and belongings in the fire including the first responders who are helping the community.

We are hoping for your generosity during this most challenging time. As PNAA, let us show our Aloha spirit. Our impact is stronger if we do it together.
