Fundraising Cause: Miami V.O.1.C.E (Vocalizing Our 1mpact through Community Engagement) is comprised of leaders from across Miami-Dade who represent cohort 45 from Leadership Miami, a renowned leadership program through Miami Chamber of Commerce. We are on a mission to give back and make an impact in communities across Miami-Dade.
To fulfill this mission, Miami V.O.1.C.E. has partnered with His House to provide adolescent youth in foster care with endless possibilities to upskill and make advancements in their future careers. His House is a faith-based organization that brings healing and hope to children and families in its care. We have committed to supporting His House in three core areas: 1) Career Center Buildout; 2) Marketing Resources; and 3) Generating Awareness of Foster Care Training Programs.
Through the collective power of our VO1CE, impact, and resources, Miami V.O.1.C.E. and its supporters will play a pivotal role in designing and equipping an innovative Education and Career Center. This center will offer the youth access to educational and vocational resources, enabling them to develop crucial job-related skills and improve their economic prospects as they transition out of the foster care system. Our aspiration is to transform the current space into an environment that ignites the passion and drive of these young individuals, encouraging them to explore careers and vocations that might otherwise be inaccessible due to their life circumstances. With your assistance, we will enhance the physical space by updating the flooring, applying fresh paint, furnishing the area, adding decorative elements, and providing technology and educational support, all of which foster an atmosphere conducive to educational and vocational growth. Additionally, if you have access to platforms such as radio, media, radio advertisements, or promotional resources, we welcome your contribution in raising awareness about our cause.
We believe that with your support and our collective efforts, we can establish an enduring legacy that equips youth in foster care with the necessary resources and tools to thrive in Miami-Dade County. Our aim is to empower them to become valuable contributors to the socio-economic ecosystem, ultimately fostering a brighter future for themselves and their community.
