Painting with Pastels

BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, intended for adults

Class Description:

This class will be geared towards not only beginners, but all pastel artists who would like to enhance their skills. This class will also provide insight into some of the instructor’s techniques and inspirations.

Tuesdays, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Dates of Classes: Starting May 23rd for 6 x Tuesdays

Cost of Classes: $160.00

Materials you will need to bring to each class:

Rembrandt 15 half stick set

Pastel paper of your choice (Minimum paper size 8x10.The maximum size paper 12x16. Jill does not recommend white paper. )

Instructor Bio:

Jill Tichenor has a B.A. in Theatre/Film Design from the University of Kansas. She has been an active member of the MidAmerica Pastel Society for over 10 years. She has participated in art events and gallery shows all over the metro, including InterUrban ArtHouse, Westport Art Fair, Heartland Art Show, Buttonwood Art Space, Cathy Kline Art Gallery, Lawrence Art Guild, Rice Gallery, Brush Creek PleinAir event, and Stems Plein-Air event. She won Leawood’s Arti Gras Juror’s Choice Award in 2018, and two awards through the Stems Plein-Air event in Overland Park, KS, including the People’s Choice in 2018 and 2nd Place for Pastels in 2019
