David Huckfelt’s career on the road less traveled has found him sharing stages with a staggering diversity of artists: from Mavis Staples and Emmylou Harris to Bon Iver and Arcade Fire – and more recently collaborating with an impressive array of Native American artists, including John Trudell, Quiltman, Keith Secola, and Annie Humphrey.
His most recent album, Room Enough, Time Enough was created in the borderlands of southern Arizona, in Tucson, in the high Sonoran Desert, one of the richest, most bio-diverse ecosystems in the world. It mirrors the timeless stories of that Southwestern geography: forgotten arroyos and empty washes, cliff dwellings and cave art, cowboys, Natives, outlaws, and honest men telling the story of a place older than the concept of America.
Join WOJB as we welcome David Huckfelt in our first concert event in more than a year-and-a-half at The Park Center, 15791 U.S. 63, downtown Hayward. David will be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Ylvisaker (John Prine, Andrew Bird, Bon Iver).
ALL tickets are available that evening at WILL CALL.
