Dyeing for Quilters

Instructor: Deb Berkebile

Saturday, January 27th | 10am-4pm

Dyeing for Quilters is a class designed to introduce beginners to low-immersion dyeing on cotton. With this technique, one uses as little water as possible, crunching or folding the fabric together for a resist effect; applying as little or as much stirring as you want will result in different patterns. This process creates 3 values (light, medium, dark) of 12 different colors of the spectrum—you will take home about 9 yards (27 feet) of fat quarters in all colors of the rainbow. Use this fabric for quilting, garments, home goods, or whatever else you need!
