$13 for the 13th
In Honor of Carizma Maynard
Carizma's story is one that tragically ended too soon on June 13, 2020 when she was kidnapped and murdered by a former boyfriend. Her loss devastated her family, friends, and a community that loved her very much. Since that day, there has been a movement to not just remember her, but to write new chapters in her story- ones that honor her life and her dreams. To carry on and raise awareness about the causes that mattered to her and to let everyone know about the resources available.
The $13 for the 13th came from the heart of Kimberly Maynard- Winter, Carizma's mother, who has stood at the forefront of this journey, even in the face of such unspeakable tragedy. We as the Eastland County Crisis Center and the City of Eastland Animal Shelter, are honored to partner with her on this campaign which raises funds for both people and animals in need.
We hope you will donate and support this work, learn more about domestic violence and/or animal abuse prevention and how you can continue to make a difference across Eastland County.
Thank you,
