Time: Starting Tuesday June 6th 2pm-4pm (skipping the 4th of July week and finalizing on July 11th)

Description:This class will be a combination of reviewing the fundamental drawing exercises and experimenting with different mediums to draw and create. Students will be encouraged to try different mediums to take their work to a new level. To think outside the box. We will be taking a playful joy towards making art.
Supply list:
- Pencils 2H, 4H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B
- Strathmore Mixed media sketchbook (at least 9x12 in size)
- 1 watercolor brush angular ½
- Watercolor pencils
- Knead eraser X-large
- Blending stumps #3 size
- Ruler
- 1 sharpie
- 2 posca pens of your choice of color
- Higgins black ink
- Pentel sign pen (water-soluable)
- Charcoal vine
- Stabilo Woody black
- Water soluble graphite pencil
Instructor Bio:
Jill Tichenor has a B.A. in Theatre/Film Design from the University of Kansas. She has been an active member of the MidAmerica Pastel Society for over 10 years. She has participated in art events and gallery shows all over the metro, including InterUrban ArtHouse, Westport Art Fair, Heartland Art Show, Buttonwood Art Space, Cathy Kline Art Gallery, Lawrence Art Guild, Rice Gallery, Brush Creek PleinAir event, and Stems Plein-Air event. She won Leawood’s Arti Gras Juror’s Choice Award in 2018, and two awards through the Stems Plein-Air event in Overland Park, KS, including the People’s Choice in 2018 and 2nd Place for Pastels in 2019
