Research guides our work toward better breast cancer outcomes for Black women. It gives us the information we need to address breast cancer disparities with targeted solutions. Research is the driving force behind our programs and initiatives. We partner and collaborate with clinical and academic researchers who are seeking to understand why Black women are diagnosed with breast cancer at an earlier age and at a later disease stage and DIE at a higher rate than White women. Armed with research data and information, we then design and implement targeted, community-based and health care system-based solutions to combat barriers to access, address gaps in services and improve breast cancer outcomes.
