Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation (RVCF), in collaboration with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (CBMAA), is excited to announce our fall Master Concert featuring the world-renowned musicians of The Divine Trio. 

Join us for this Master Concert in the Great Hall at CBMAA on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 4 PM to 5:30 PM!

$125 - includes dinner* with the artists, one preferred seat for the show and one RVCF t-shirt.

RVCF is proud to partner with CBMAA in bringing diversity and inclusion to Northwest Arkansas through arts and culture, and there is no finer example of these ideals than this triumvirate of outstanding artists.

Mita Nag (sitar), practitioner of the Vishnupur Gharana school of music Bengal, comes from a family of musicians extending back for at least three generations. Daughter of the veteran sitarist, Pandit Manilal Nag, and granddaughter of Sangeet Acharya Gokul Nag, she was initiated into music at the age of four, studying with her parents and her grandfather. She has given many concert performances in cities in India, the US, Canada, Japan, and Europe.

Hassan Haider (shehnai), a leading player of the younger generation, was trained by his father, Ustad Ali Ahmed Hussain in the Benares and Senia gharanas, and Pandit Arvind Parikh, of the Imdadkhani gharana. He has performed at many important music festivals in India and is regularly featured on Indian radio and television. He has performed in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Switzerland, and Belgium.

Shubhen Chatterjee (tabla) trained under the illustrious tabla maestro, Pandit Swapan Chowdhury. Although trained in the Lucknow Gharana tradition, his playing draws on a variety of gharan styles, which make him a unique and distinctive performer. He has performed in many concerts, as a soloist, and as an accompanist alongside such luminaries as Bhimsen Joshi, Girija Devi, Jasraj, V. G. Jog, the Mishra Brothers, Rashid Khan, Shahid Parvez, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. and Manilal Nag.

The mission of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is to welcome all in celebration of the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature. Crystal Bridges partners with organizations like Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation to further our initiative to co-create an inclusive museum space through programming, dialogue, and professional development.

Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation was founded in 2018 with a mission to promote the traditional performing arts of India in NWA, by educating and inspiring people to learn, teach, and sustain those arts in our area. We fulfill our mission through a variety of initiatives, including weekly classes for young people, workshops and performances with skilled local artists, and sponsorship of world-famous practitioners of Indian dance, music, and theater to come to NWA to perform and teach.
