Spring 2024 Career Connections Program
What do you want to be when you grow up? How can you get there? Who can help you along the way? The Career Connections program offers monthly career development programming at local High Schools to help students answer those questions. Professionals participate in monthly career panels to share their life experiences and expertise with 10th and 11th-grade students. Whether students have a detailed plan for life or are still trying to figure out what happens after high school, the insights of volunteers in the workforce can prove valuable in helping encourage and shape tomorrow’s leaders.
During the Spring semester sessions take place once a month during lunch at College Park, Grand Oaks and The Woodlands High School. Meetings start with a panel discussion and Q & A based on the month’s topic where guest speakers share honest feedback and may follow with small group discussions or individual student activities. This is an opportunity for professionals to share their personal stories. Students explore topics ranging from finding a career passion to job forecasting.
