Meat Science & Technology Association Brisket Sale
Building leaders.
Promoting excellence. Texas A&M’s Meat Science and Technology Association,
or MSTA, lives by this moto. MSTA is a student organization in the Animal
Science Department at Texas A&M University which was established in 2020.
They strive to promote opportunities for leadership and educational development
of Animal Science students with an emphasis in Meat Science and Food Safety.
One of the biggest service project MSTA hosts is the annual Brisket Fundraiser.
MSTA is selling 50 fully cooked briskets for $100 each. All proceeds will be
used to provide frozen meat products from Texas A&M’s very own Rosenthal
Meat Science and Technology Center to the campus food bank, The 12th
Can Food Pantry. The 12th Can is a completely student run food
pantry which serves all students, faculty, and staff in need at Texas A&M.
MSTA has been honored to work alongside Cactus Cares in this effort as they
have matched the funds raised up to $5,000.
MSTA would like
to give a special thank you to HEB and Brookshire Brothers for donating the
briskets.
