My name is Rachael Johnson. I have had the immense delight of journeying with ECHO in a variety of ways since 2018, from attending my first ECHO, to simply being an extra set of hands when needed, to a missionary summer, and many things in between. So I am incredibly excited to be coming back for a season of internship!
My first experience of an ECHO retreat brought radical, yet simple, encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist and from that moment I have been leaning more deeply into true love affair with Christ.
I am currently pursuing my masters in clinical mental health counseling at Divine Mercy University. Though I look forward to working with clients from all backgrounds, I especially desire to work with clients experiencing sexual disintegration to discover and embrace the fullness of redemption The Lord has in store. I believe having a Catholic-Christian view of the person, as well as a deep understanding of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body will bring vibrancy and efficacy to my future work as a counselor.
I am an aspiring coffee snob as well as an aspiring lifelong student of JP2. I am madly in love with Jesus and I love a good shenanigan. I write poetry from a space of prayer and the experience of being human. I think silence is underrated. I am not great at keeping plants alive but love walks through the cathedral of creation.
Let’s be saints!
