Painted Warp Techniques

This workshop is designed for beginner and experienced weavers who would like to explore methods of dyeing warp threads. Led by our Intro to Weaving instructor, you will wind 2 small warps over the course of the day and treat each one differently using Procion MX dyes. Students will have the chance to paint their warps freely and abstractly, as well as in a more controlled manner via Ikat. All materials included.

Note: this class is devoted only to dyeing, there will not be weaving time. No experience required and students are encouraged to take this workshop prior to Intro to Weaving (the warp created during this class can be used on your loom during Intro).
