EMPOWERing Workplaces with EV Charging
Learn how workplace electric vehicle charging can benefit your business!
Transportation is electrifying, and today's drivers need access to charging where they live, where they play, and most importantly, where they work. As federal, state, and regional investments continue to build toward an electric-fueled future, where to “plug in” is a topic most EV drivers are familiar with. Workplace charging (WPC) provides great convenience for electric vehicle (EV) owners and in some cases, is essential for commuters that do not have access to charging at home. As an employer, you have a unique opportunity to capitalize on Federal, State, and local utility support for workplace charging while demonstrating your workplace’s corporate leadership and sustainability commitment while providing enhanced employee benefits.
That's where EMPOWER comes in. Equitable Mobility Powering Opportunities for Workplace Electrification Readiness (EMPOWER) is a federally funded project that aims to expand the number of EV charging units available to EV owners and lessees who commute using their electrified rides—especially in disadvantaged communities. As a partner in the EMPOWER project, Empire Clean Cities is your New York-based resource to help you start your workplace charging journey to find grant funding, engage employees, and connect with installers.
Learn about workplace electric vehicle charging, the benefits it can provide to your business and your employers, and how affordable it can be to install this amenity for your workplace thanks to available incentives in our biweekly workplace charging webinar and office hours!
