Student Research Award

You can make a difference

Donations will be used to fund the Drs. James and Veronica Elias Student Research Award.


This award was started by Dr. James Elias in 2018 as a way to support sexuality research by undergraduate and graduate students. As a primary supporter of the Center for Positive Sexuality, Dr. Elias wanted to continue his legacy of encouraging students in the field of sexology.


Help us continue his vision by contributing to this fund. All time to administer the funds is volunteered, so 100% of your donation goes directly to the students chosen for the award.


Students are chosen during the Positive Sexuality Conference, where they present their work and are judged blind by sexology professionals. We do our best to award as many students as possible, usually $200-500 per award, depending on donations. Your contribution allows student researchers to continue their work, travel to conferences to meet professionals in the field, and support their needs. Award recipients may use the funds in the way that works best for them.
