Autism Awareness Month at D'Amico Chiropractic

Supporting Salvy the School Therapy Pup for Special Needs Teens

At D'Amico Family Chiropractic in Davie, Florida, we are dedicated to serving individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including those with special needs.

Led by Dr. Thomas D'Amico, D.C. with nearly 40 years of experience, our practice has had the privilege of assisting tens of thousands of patients, including pregnant women, newborns, and special needs children.  Through Chiropractic adjustments, we aim to remove nerve interference in the body, allowing for optimal communication between the brain and body. This approach has proven to be beneficial for children with special needs in relieving tension, enhancing immune system function, improving motor skills, aiding in speech and language development, addressing certain behavioral patterns, and more!

When we see a smile light up the face of a parent or a child, we know that we've fulfilled our purpose. We understand the difficulties that these families face on a daily basis, but we also cherish the beauty found in those fleeting moments of joy and connection. It's in these moments of shared happiness that we find fulfillment and inspiration to continue our mission – to create a world where everyone can experience the beauty of life, regardless of their challenges.

We strive to make the day-to-day lives of individuals with special needs more manageable in any way we can. Whether it's through Chiropractic, providing support and guidance, or raising awareness for organizations like Paws 4 Autism, we are dedicated to making a positive impact.

  • In honor of Autism Awareness Month and as part of our efforts to raise awareness and extend assistance to those in need, we have chosen to devote the month of April to raising funds for Paws 4 Autism, a non-profit organization that we believe offers invaluable support to both children with special needs and their caregivers.
  • ALL funds we raise will support the professional therapy dog team of Chris & Salvy.  Salvy is in his second year as the therapy dog for a special needs classroom in middle school.
  • More details and pics to follow

We believe that initiatives like Paws 4 Autism play a crucial role in supporting caregivers and easing some of the daily pressures they face. By raising awareness and encouraging support for organizations like Paws 4 Autism, we hope to foster a more understanding and supportive community for individuals with special needs and their families.

We invite you to join us in our efforts to make a difference this Autism Awareness Month. Together, we can provide much-needed assistance and support to those who need it most.
