NINA TARASOVETS
We are launching a fundraising project to support kids education in the United States of America. This project aims to provide kids with the knowledge and skills that will help them succeed and prepare them for the future.
Meet one of the participants, Nina Tarasovets.

About her
"My name is Nina Tarasovets, and I am 20 years old. I was born and raised in Ukraine in a Christian family. My dad is a pastor at our local church “Light of the Gospel”. My mom is an administrator at an English school. I have two younger brothers; one is about to graduate from High School and the other is still in middle school.
Education
My educational journey began when I was 16 years old and I got an opportunity to finish High School at First Baptist Christian Academy in Pasadena, TX. At that time, I could not speak English so I debated whether I should go or stay in Ukraine. God pursued opening the doors for me and within a month I was a sophomore student at FBCA. Three years went by fast, I learned English, found my community, and strengthened my relationship with God by relying on Him throughout the years.
Skills and work
Currently, I am a college student at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX majoring in Business Administration and minor in Marketing. Being in college is a great way for me to work on my leadership skills. Currently, I am a resident assistant in one of the girls’ dorms, a Sophomore Class President, and work with the Student Activities board and serve as an officer for International Student Fellowship. I enjoy being in college here and spreading love and joy to others. Alongside college, I am a part of the local church “Pioneer” in Abilene and their college group. I am very thankful for everything that God has given me and the community he surrounded me with.
Ministry
I visit my family every summer and it is a blessing to see how God has been moving in my hometown and kept everyone safe. Each time I come home, I get an opportunity to lead others in worship, plan the events for church, and plan VBS camps for kids of all ages. I’m glad that I Ukraine I can use the skills and knowledge I have learned here in Texas.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story!
Blessings!"
