VALERIIA MARTSENIUK
We are launching a fundraising project to support kids education in the United States of America. This project aims to provide kids with the knowledge and skills that will help them succeed and prepare them for the future.
Meet one of the participants, Valeriia Martseniuk.
About her
"My name is Valeriia Martseniuk. I was born on April 11, 2006. My father serves on the Board of FC Ukraine, planted and pastors a small church. My mother is an English teacher. I have two younger brothers, aged 14 and 8, who both study at the Ukrainian online school 'Alternative'.
Education
Regarding my education, I have been homeschooled since the 5th grade and graduated from the Online School in Ukraine. Currently, I am completing my 12th grade at Caney Creek High School in Conroe, TX, where I have been studying since November 2023.
In 2020, I attended the IT Step computer academy to pursue a career as a graphic designer. My passion for creativity led me to start my own YouTube channel at the age of 10. During my time at the academy, I learned various software programs including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, 3D Max, InDesign, and more. Additionally, I completed classes in advertising design, typography, digital photography, and other related subjects.
Currently, while residing in the United States, I have taken an academic leave of absence to complete high school and obtain my driver's license.
Hobbies and skills
Since childhood, I have been involved in various sports, including gymnastics, swimming, aerial gymnastics, ballet, taekwondo, and rollerblading. However, my current favorite is CrossFit. In Ukraine, I completed a training course and received a coaching certificate. Additionally, in the summer of 2023, I graduated from the Ukrainian School of Sports Leadership.
During 2022-2023, I participated in charity sports competitions in the city of Khmelnytskiy. At the age of fourteen, I graduated from music school, where I had been studying piano since the age of 5.
Furthermore, I gained experience working at my father's coffee shop in Ukraine from the age of 14. There, I acquired valuable skills in customer service, communication, and the art of Italian coffee making.
Goal
My goal in the United States is to learn English and enter Lone Star College as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
I believe that this profession will help me to be useful for my country in the future, especially in such a difficult time, and in general to be useful to anyone who needs it. Currently, there are many people who need physical assistance and rehabilitation, including militaries and athletes. I am also interested in this profession because I plan to develop as a fitness trainer and want to know more about how the human body functions.
Thank you for your time to read my story!
God bless you"
