Indira Colbert Memorial Scholarship
Indira Colbert was born on February 14, 2002, in Washington, DC. She attended Alice Deal Middle School before continuing her education at Woodrow Wilson High School. Following in her siblings' footsteps, she joined the College Bound program. After graduating from Wilson High School in 2020, she was honored to receive the College Bound Partners Scholarship.
Driven by her love for animals, Indira aspired to become a veterinarian. Beginning her college journey at The University of Maryland Eastern Shore to study biology, Indira later transferred to Montgomery College to pursue a degree in Radiology.
Tragically, on March 7th, 2024, Indira passed away at the age of 22. In honor of her legacy, College Bound, in collaboration with Indira's family and mentor, is establishing a scholarship known as the Indira Colbert Memorial Scholarship.
All donations and proceeds will support this scholarship fund, ensuring that Indira's memory lives on by aiding future students.
