Throughout the developing world, the prospects for children born in a rural village are bleak. They are likely to remain poor their whole lives. Additionally, many children in these communities come from unstable home lives. This is certainly true for the children who are on Global Village Connect's wait list for scholarships at our partner schools.


Providing a scholarship allows a child to attend school, which offers them stability and structure, including access to a safe place to live, meals, and the supportive environment they need to focus on their studies. More than that, a scholarship gives a child hope for their future.


The surest way out of poverty is education. But school isn't free in Uganda.
