Super Saturday in the Garden-Community Partners

The Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana opens the gates to the Origin Bank Family Garden on the third Saturday of every other month to host Super Saturday, featuring garden-based activities for children and adults, early childhood activities in the outdoor learning center, healthy cooking demonstrations using fresh produce grown locally, and community resources and volunteer opportunities.


Super Saturday in the Garden events are completely FREE to attend. Everyone, children and adults, are welcome to join in on all the fun!


Community Partners are invited to join us in creating communities where children and families thrive!

  • No selling of good/products allowed.
  • Must provide activity or goody for children to participate in while providing information and resources to parents. 
  • Tents, table, & chairs provided by the Children's Coalition.
  • Power available by request, but limited. 
  • Must be set up by 9:30am; Gates open at 10:00am

• Saturday May 18 | ALL ABOUT POLLINATORS 
• Saturday July 20 | BACK TO SCHOOL BASH 
• Saturday September 21 | GET HYPED FOR HARVEST 
• Saturday November 16 | GO TO BED, GARDEN (WINTER PREP) Note: Dates are subject to change.



Interested in volunteering at Super Saturday in the Garden?
•On Super Saturdays, volunteers will work together on event setup, select activities during event, and event breakdown.
•Anyone ages 12 and up who want to feel happy about helping is welcome!
•Church groups, school groups, sororities/fraternities, businesses, employee-sponsored groups, non-profits and the like are all welcome.
