Nestled in the heart of Roxbury lies the Samuel W Mason School, a true hidden gem. Our school is a beacon of inclusivity, serving students from PreK to 5th grade, embracing Multilingual Learners and Students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in a nurturing small-classroom setting. Let's delve into some key facts about our diverse population:


  • Around 40% of our students are second language learners, hailing from countries spanning the globe, including Cape Verde, Haiti, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Portugal, and Brazil.
  • Close to 35% of our students have individualized education plans (IEPs) and receive support within our fully inclusive school environment.
  • Approximately 90% of our families are classified as Low-Income, with about 10% experiencing homelessness.


Now, more than ever, our school community is in need of support. Our campaign seeks to raise $15,000 to empower Mason students with essential resources, access to high-quality instructional materials, incentives for embodying Mason Core Values, enriching field trips, and much-deserved amenities. Every fundraising endeavor is dedicated solely to our students, aiming to bolster our community-building efforts and infuse joy into every aspect of Mason life. We aspire to expand classroom prize boxes, host additional community events such as field days and family nights, fortify our Tier 1 positive behavior incentive systems, boost student attendance, and amplify student engagement within our school.


Your generosity will pave the way for enhanced access to top-notch equipment, materials, and amenities, ensuring that every child and family receives the support they deserve. Moreover, it will enable us to broaden resources for families and augment our ability to foster their children's academic progress and development at home.
