2017 Dancing for Diabetes Performer Auditions

 

Auditions will take place on Saturday, September 23rd at 21 Lakeview Drive Sanford, FL 32773.


Dancing for Diabetes is a nonprofit organization with the mission to spread awareness through the art of dance to better educate the community, raise funds to find a cure and inspire those with diabetes to live healthy and active lives.


The 17th annual show will take place on Saturday, December 9th at 7pm at the Bob Carr Theater in downtown Orlando. Dress Rehearsal is mandatory for all dancers and begins at 2pm on Saturday, December 9th. 


Auditions are open to groups of at least 5 dancers. Groups will audition specific routines to be considered as part of the Dancing for Diabetes show. Groups of 5 dancers or more are welcome to audition up to 5 routines. Only the dancers and director will be permitted in the theater during the audition. No recording of any type will be permitted during the audition.


Routines must be family friendly appropriate in terms of choreography, music and attire. Routines should be no longer than 4 minutes in total length. The exact choreography, music and attire intended to be performed in the show must be displayed at time of the audition. 


Routines should feature high levels of precision, creativity, style, technique, musicality and showmanship.


Auditions will be closed to the public.
