Front Rangers Cycling Club - 2024 Fall Program
Road and Gravel Cycling Adventures for Youth Athletes Grades 7-12
2024 Fall Program
The Front Rangers Cycling Club (FRCC) is offering an 7 1/2-week fall road and gravel bike cycling
program for all interested youth, grades 7-12. The core of this program
will be twice weekly practice sessions, starting from a diverse mix of
south and central Metro Denver locations. See below for specific
dates/times and a sampling of practice start locations. These training
sessions will be lead by our Head Coach
Kathy Zawadzki, USA Cycling Level 1 Coach and Owner of The FAST Lab in
Greenwood Village. Kathy will be assisted by our staff of experienced
paid and volunteer coaches. In addition to our weekday practice
sessions, we'll be offering one longer weekend training ride, and
we'll be attending three weekend organized races, all
supported by our coaching staff. Lastly, we ask that all registered athletes commit to one of three volunteer opportunities (listed on schedule below).
Weekday Training Sessions - Dates/Times, Locations
Weekday
practice sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 5th--October 24th, from 5:00-6:30 PM. We'll be using a variety of practice start locations in
the south and central Metro Denver areas. Practice locations will include, among others: Village Greens Park, Goodson Recreation Center, Carson Nature Center, Washington Park, and REI Downtown/Fishback Park.
Weekend Ride/Race/Event Schedule
September 8th (Sunday) - Buffalo Classic
Registration Fees
Athletes
can register for one or two practice sessions per week. We've priced the two-days-per-week option
very attractively for those that can fit both of these days into their
weekly schedule. Athletes choosing to register for the one-day-a-week option can join us whichever day works best for them for any given week, and can join us two times in one week to make up for missed practices.
Cost is $250 for the one day per week option, $325 for the two days per week option. Regardless of which registration option is selected, coaching and team support are included for all registrants for all targeted weekend training rides and races/events.
Financial Assistance
It is our mission to get more youth interested and involved in cycling, especially those from traditionally underrepresented communities. The Front Rangers Cycling Club provides financial assistance to cover up to 100% of the cost to register for our programs. If finances are a barrier for your family, please send an email to [email protected] with just these words in the subject line: FRCC Financial Assistance 24 Fall, and instructions for how to access scholarship support will be emailed back to you right away (there's no need to include a message in the body of your email to us). You can then proceed with registration.
Registration Tips
Near the start of the registration process, you'll be asked to enter your contact info, including name and email address. On the next screen you'll enter participant details, and the registration software will have auto-filled your name and email address for the first participant, even though you might be registering your children, for instance, and are not a participant yourself. If need be, just overwrite the name and email address fields with the correct info.
