Nourishing Gardens Through the Seasons Drop-Ins
This year-long series will focus on what you can do in your garden, or for your garden, in each month of the year. We'll meet primarily on Friday evenings, with occasional Saturday mornings to accommodate demonstrations and daylight. The workshops will be held at Freetown Farm and other local venues where you will receive expert-led information and hand-on experience. Receive support and encouragement while you to learn new-to-you gardening techniques and timelines, and share your gardening triumphs and fails! Topics will include seed starting, identifying and removing invasive species in your yard, pruning, compost, and more!
Date(s): Friday evenings the first weekend of every month
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Age: 16+
Cost: $149 for entire series or $20 for an individual session

Your workshop presenter: This course will be led by Loni Cohen, the Community Ecology Institute Nourishing Gardens Program Coordinator. Loni began gardening with her dad as a child and later worked on his landscaping crew to pay her way through graduate school. Loni earned a Master's Degree in Social Work, and spent years helping families to access the supports they needed to thrive in their environment. Loni feels passionate about creating an environment that fosters a mutually beneficial relationship where people and nature thrive together. Loni continues to enjoy sharing her passion for gardening with the community as the Nourishing Gardens Program Coordinator, a Master Gardener, and CA Weed Warrior.
