First Call Parent Mentor Training 2024

The First Call Program provides new and expecting parents the opportunity to speak with other parents who have previously been on this journey.


This training on February 3, 2024 from 8am to 1pm is for experienced parents of children with Ds who wish to become a mentor for new parents starting their journey. Parents attending this training will learn how to best support new parents to help guide them on their journey.


This training will be presented by NCDSA- sponsored by the DSA of Greater Charlotte, A Special Needs Plan and Truist Bank.




Details:

  • When: Saturday February 3rd, 8am to 1pm
  • Where: Park Road Baptist Church, 3900 Park Road room 505, Charlotte, 28209
  • Trainer: North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance
  • For experienced parents (mothers and fathers) of children with Down syndrome
  • Breakfast will be provided
  • Childminding will be available for children of all ages, please contact [email protected] to coordinate
  • This training will be limited to 12 parents
  • There is no charge for this training
