2024 Girls Create Camp Registration
Where girls come to connect AND create!
Camps will be held in-person at set locations specific to the individual camp. ALL CAMP TIMES ARE FROM 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Girls Write is a playwriting camp that empowers girls and non-binary youths' imaginations and writing skills through the creation of individual short plays. As they develop the creative tools for storytelling specific to theatre, campers gain confidence in using their unique voices for artistic expression.

Dates: July 15-19, 2024
Location: Denver Indian Center, 4407 Morrison Rd, Denver CO 80219
Time: 9am-3pm MST, Mon-Fri plus additional mentoring time as needed

Girls Stand Up features seasoned mentors providing a fun space for girls and non-binary youth to exercise their creative energies through creating comedy sets to boost self-confidence and playfulness. The campers will perform their comedy sets at the end of the week.

Girls Design Fashion takes our campers behind the scenes of the fashion world. They will explore what fashion design can be with various guest artists who will introduce the campers to sources of inspiration, design techniques, easy ways to upcycle and the importance of sustainability. A fashion show for family and friends will top off this week of confidence and community building!

Girls Artfully Minded is our newest Girls Create camp offering. Here, our campers will explore a variety of art forms including improv, visual art, movement, writing and spoken word. With the guidance of guest artists, our campers will discover first-hand how art establishes a foundation for the development of empathy for others and self-compassion for themselves. They will learn to use the arts as powerful tools to build connection and community.

Location: Southwest Improvement Council, 5045 W. 1st Avenue, Denver CO 80219
Time: 9am-3pm MST, Mon-Fri
Cost: starts at $275 (includes materials fee)
Cancellations: All camps are subject to a 4 participant minimum. If the minimum is not reached 2 weeks prior to the start date of session, the camp will be canceled and any registration fees will be refunded.
Refunds: With the exception of the camp being canceled due to low registration, all registration fees are final.
Referral Rebate: A $50 rebate is available for referrals. To qualify, both participants must register through the Athena Project website and complete the entire camp. Both participants qualify for the rebate ($50 each), and multiple referrals are allowed, up to but not to exceed the total cost of the camp ($275 value). To redeem, both parties must email [email protected] by the end of business day the first day of camp with the name of the participant, the referral’s name and the name of the camp attending. Qualifying rebates will be issued within 30 days of camp completion. Athena Project has final say on rebate qualifications and totals.
