Kalaeloa Town Tree Planting Workshop

Loving Trees in Kalaeloa Town!

Join us for an interactive day of learning about tree planting and care. This event will provide an educational experience for multigenerational families in West Oʻahu, focusing on trees and plants important to our culture.


Workshop Highlights:

  • ʻUlu  & Niu Tree Planting Demonstration 
  • Native Plant Seed Giveaway
  • Nioi (Hawaiian Chili Pepper) Water Making Demonstration
  • Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle Response 
  • Keiki Activity “Why We Love Our Trees” by Trees for Honolulu’s Future
  • Plant Mākeke (market) - purchase one to take home!
  • Prizes!

Space is limited and registration is required. Please register today. 


Suggested donation is $10 per family (up to 4 people, not including keiki under 2 years).

This event is presented in partnership with Ulu Aʻe Learning Center, Mālama Learning Center, and Kalaeloa Town, a community by Hunt Development Group, Hawaiʻi.  The event is also supported by the City & County of Honolulu Dept. of Parks & Recreation and Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program
