Join Foresight Adventure Guides for the Blind, along with blind adventurer Erik Weihenmayer, for an exclusive experience of First Tracks skiing at Beaver Creek Resort, in Avon, Colorado.  Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 7:00am – 10:30am. 

Your adventure begins at 7:00am at the base of the Centennial Express Lift where you will meet your Foresight hosts.  The chairlift begins spinning at 7:30am whisking you up the mountain so you can forge your own path through fresh powder (hopefully!) or carve your way down groomed corduroy slopes surrounded by stunning mountain views. 

At 8:45am we’ll gather on the top floor of Spruce Saddle, the lodge at the top of the Centennial Express Lift, for a hot breakfast.  Following breakfast will be a short presentation from Erik highlighting the importance of skiing for blind and low vision people and an explanation of how Foresight enriches the lives of the visually impaired community.  We’ll be wrapped up by 10:30am. 

Foresight Adventure Guides for the Blind is an Eagle-County based nonprofit that has offered guided skiing and snowboarding experiences for the blind and low vision community since 2001 providing opportunities to build confidence, develop determination and cultivate resilience.  In 2021, Foresight launched its Summer Camps for Blind Youth, offering additional opportunities for personal growth for visually impaired youth through rock climbing, hiking, SUP and more.

Foresight’s programs are free to its participants as we believe financial barriers shouldn’t prevent a blind or low vision individual from having transformative experiences that will ultimately improve their overall health and well-being.  Foresight operates thanks to funds received from grants and generous donations from individuals like you.  Thank you for your support!
