The Appalachian Trail

The Appalachian Trail outreach has become one of the favorite outreaches among participants. Each Spring, Hands on Missions travels to southwestern Virginia to assist hikers along the trail in their endeavor to conqueror the arduous hike through fourteen states and 2190 miles. Our teams provide a hot meal and essential items to ensure their success. 

This time of relaxation and nutrition allow our team members to interact with the hikers to learn more about their spiritual relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Hikers along the trail are often searching for answers to questions about current life struggles and use the trail to escape everyday dilemmas in search of real peace. The Gospel message offers that peace (Romans 5:1-2).
