Donations in Honor of Colonel Paul Baerman
As an Army brat, Colonel Paul Baerman lived in various locations in the United States and Europe
before embarking on his own 26-year Army career.
A distinguished graduate of West Point in 1968, he married Kerry Ann Harrigan the same year.
He served in Vietnam and commanded Armor and Cavalry units from platoon through brigade.
Paul was awarded numerous decorations,
including the Silver Star, Bronze Star for Valor (four oak leaf clusters), and two Purple Hearts.
He was an Olmsted Scholar, earning a graduate degree in International Relations
from the University of Geneva, Switzerland in 1974.
After his Army retirement in 1994, Paul worked in Colorado Springs until 2012.
Paul worked tirelessly to help grow the Conference, transitioning from paper to computer-aided operations.
We are indebted to Paul for the corporate knowledge he so carefully and completely documented
so that we could improve the Conference for our students.
His efforts enabled hundreds of Colorado high school students to improve their understanding of
and competencies in Leadership, Patriotism, and the American Free Enterprise System
