Canton Betterment Bash 2024

The Canton Chapter of The Foundation for Community Betterment is hosting its 19th annual Betterment Bash Casino Night!

This year, the Canton Chapter is looking to raise money to replenish their Immediate Need Fund. Immediate need support is offered year round and recipients must meet the same criteria as our annual recipients; however, their need is often smaller and more urgent. We helped our most recent Immediate Need recipient in August. Kaylee, a local food truck owner, recently faced significant financial challenges due to unexpected medical setbacks. After learning that Kaylee was considering selling her food truck to pay for an upcoming move and to make ends meet, Canton Board member Lydia Carmany stepped in and nominated her for our immediate need fund. Thanks to Lydia's advocacy, we were able to provide Kaylee with critical support, including covering two months of rent for her new, safe apartment, assisting with utility bills, and offering gift certificates to help her purchase groceries and cleaning supplies to set up her new home. Kaylee's story is a testament to the power of community support in times of need.
