'The REZ' HS Youth Retreat - 2024 Registration
The Hero's Journey
"The Rez" is a youth retreat aimed at providing youth the teachings and skills to make an intentional and enduring commitment to Christ through their Catholic Christian Faith. We, the Missioners of Christ, have been facilitating this retreat since the late 1990s.
This year's Theme is "The Hero's Journey”. Our goal: to help the youth see their life in Christ as He intended; an adventure with themselves as the protagonist in a story that is actively being co-written with the Divine Author. What’s more, each ‘hero’s’ story intersects with the stories of others, in an epic series with the ultimate stakes in play: the Salvation of all.
Combined with Reconciliation and the Mass, The Rez provides an experience which awakens the young Christian's sense of the call to follow Christ in all aspects of their lives.
Talks include:
- Call to Adventure – Shaking off the default to mediocrity
- Crossing the Threshold – The struggle against complacency and fear
- Trials & Triumphs, Allies & Enemies – We are not called to go it alone
- Victory in Sight: Take a Leap – Our obstacles are not always external
- All in – Committing for the long haul
- The Adventure Continues: The Sacramental Life – What does a life of total trust look like?
- Heroes Assemble: Co-Adventurers to Heaven – This victory is not just for you

"The talks were amazing... I especially loved Reconciliation, Adoration, and the Mass. Being able to experience these with youth in my age group who also felt the same about everything with me was great."
"I felt extremely welcome and each person I talked to was extremely open and willing to help me out."
"From this weekend, I’ve had the privilege of feeling the Holy Spirit and being reminded of how good God is and how I’m missing out on all he has to offer. It was so meaningful to have this retreat as a recharge for my faith."
