For youth experiencing homelessness, staying connected is a vital need that can be challenging to achieve. In a digital world that often requires constant internet and computer access, being unhoused or without a stable, safe place can prevent youth from connecting to much-needed resources, knowledge, and opportunities.
For Grace Place, keeping youth connected is more than providing wi-fi and a place to charge their phones (though we do that too!) It’s about giving them access to independence, safety, and empowerment. By staying virtually connected no matter their housing status, they can apply for jobs, coordinate services, enjoy a movie or their favorite music, pursue higher education, keep up with friends, and more.
With your direct support, we can continue to provide a safe, affirming space in which our youth have access to the technology they need to stay connected. Our goal this summer is to raise $15,000 for our “Keep our Youth Connected” campaign. These funds will support our youth with access to new laptops, charging stations, reliable high-speed internet, and other technological upgrades at Grace Place that will directly benefit them.
